Our Year 12s got to experience the Christchurch Careers Expo this year on the 11th May.

The arena was packed with a variety of exhibitors; our universities, polytechnics, private tertiary institutes such as New Zealand Tourism, right though to our New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) and Fire and Rescue. Many of the Year 12s enjoyed the booming music and display of the DJ Music course that’s available through the Southern Institute of Technology – MAINZ. There was a Virtual Reality (VR) machine to place on your head provided by the NZDF and you were able to climb onto their Army Truck.  All up it was a great success and an enjoyable way to spend the early morning exploring the future of work and careers.
