Riroriro Dean's Report

Katie Tozer —

Kia ora koutou. I hope this newsletter finds you all safe and well. Year 7-9 students in Riroriro are showing a huge amount of commitment to their learning. We have had a very busy start back to Term 3 with lots of new learning happening.

All students are continuing to participate in hurumanu. These lessons involve two subjects being merged and taught simultaneously. For example, Hurumanu 1 is called ‘Who are we?’ and combines reading and social studies. We are also enjoying our time together in wānanga.

There are lots of exciting events and opportunities this term. These include the Tama Mai Saute Dance Academy, the Uru Mānuka Student Summit, Chess Tournament, EPro8 challenge and many more.

There is some amazing work being produced and students should be very proud of this. Please keep commenting on your child(ren)’s blogs. Have a look at the whānau page on the Uru Mānuka site for useful information and resources about blogging and being cybersmart.
