Students get a deeper look at critical career options

Earlier this week Mrs Climo took a group of 16 students to a Construction and Infrastructure Event organised by Motivationz.

Hosted at the Russley Golf Course, students got to look at some vehicles supplied by Downers and to talk to Downers staff about what is involved in their jobs. Presenters included Southbase Construction, John Jones Steel, Citycare Group, Ara construction, and Downer. 

A highlight of the event was a motivational talk by Jason Gunn. This was a fantastic opportunity for our students to take a more in depth look at an area of possible future employment in a sector that is set to grow significantly in Aorearoa New Zealand, as Government begins massive new investment in infrastructure.
