Being a STARS mentor has been an amazing opportunity so far. I've gotten to know the Year 9's well and connect and work with them. Over these past few weeks, mentoring our group and spending time with them and other mentors, has meant a lot. We get to have fun and learn life lessons along the way such as communication and teamwork. I experienced the STARS programme at Year 9 and it really made an impact. I had moved to a new school, which is why I know that the Year 9's can benefit from this programme. I hope that as the Year 9's continue their journey through school, they feel that this programme impacted them in a positive way and hopefully they will choose to be a STARS mentor as well.
