Stars Mentor

Natasha, Year 12 —

Until recently, the idea of being a leader of any sort terrified me. But over the past few years, I’ve had some especially amazing teachers - individuals set on helping everyone who enters their classroom however they can. It’s because of them that I now know what I want to do. I want to help people in the best way I know how - and that’s through education

Becoming a STARS mentor is a first step towards this goal for me. It’s helped me to build my confidence speaking in front of others, and generally begin to develop the skills which are key for what I want to achieve. As an added bonus, I have got to know so many fantastic younger students within the groups we teach, many of which will one day be the future leaders at our school.

Becoming a STARS mentor is an opportunity I never saw myself taking, but I’m so glad that I have!
