Letter for Year 10 Parents

As part of the Education Outside the Classroom at Hornby HIgh School, all Year 10 students are being provided the opportunity to go to Boyle Lodge in the Lewis Pass area for two nights.

Very soon more detailed information, consent forms, gear lists, medical and dietary needs forms etc will be sent out.

Please complete these forms and return them asap as this helps with catering etc.

The forms needs to be returned by Friday 1st of June.

The camp dates:

Camp One: Monday 11th June to Wednesday 13th June for 10Da and 10Ca

Camp Two: Wednesday 13th June to Friday 15th June for 10Tn, 10Hy and 10Mn

The cost is $60 which includes all meals and transport. If you would like to set up an automatic payment, please contact the office. There may be some financial help available, so please let me or the office know if you need help in this area. This is only a part of the true cost of camp. Due to funding from other sources we are able to make it possible for all students to go.

The expectation is that all students will attend and from personal experience, I know it is a fantastic camp. There are lots of great activities which link strongly to the curriculum here at school. Accomodation is in a very warm and comfortable lodge.
