At the beginning of Term 2 we were fortunate to employ the skills of Latoya Graham to prepare our students for the Uru Mānaka Cultural Festival.
The Festival was held at the Aurora Centre for Performing Arts and was the first public engagement for our students. They were really excited to be performing and they made us proud with their behaviour and their newly learned skills.
60 students make up the group across the whole school, Years 7–13. We have been working hard on building confidence, involvement and commitment not just for performing in public but also for in- school occasions.
On the night, two awards for Leadership in Kapahaka were presented to Larenz Brown-Hepi and Feiloai Leuea.
Well done all, and we look forward to seeing great developments in 2018.
