It has been another highly successful season for our school Volleyball teams with 4 teams playing at both the junior and senior level in mid-week competitions.

The boys had a great season finishing 3rd in their respective competition in Term 1 and going on to finish 2nd at the Satellite Volleyball Tournament, a fantastic result. They followed this up in Term 4 by winning the Senior Division 2 & 3 competition. 

Our junior boys team also showed huge promise finishing 3rd in their division and also competing in the Term 4 Canterbury Volleyball tournament. We would like to thank Latia Mataese and Vinnie Wallace for their support coaching and managing these teams. 

In the girls division Hornby High School finished 3rd overall in Term 1 and in Term 4 due to exams we entered one team which consisted of  Senior and Junior girls competing in the Senior Division 1 Grade. This was a great opportunity for our Senior girls to help train and mentor some younger players. Our Junior Girls also got a taste for the competitive Senior Grade.

Throughout this term the girls played well, working on different formations and strategies resulting in the team winning most of their games. Well done to every player, you all contributed something to this team. Thank you to Gabby Farrar de Wagt for all her coaching and support of our girls volleyball teams.
