And then there were two! Two more weeks until we head out to a well-deserved break.

It has been an incredible term and I have been proud to see our tamariki step up, get involved, risk take with their learning, create and share!

On the field, the court, and in the classroom there has been an amazing amount of effort.

We are in the midst of tournament week where many a game has been won and lost and talking with our rangitahi it has been pleasing to hear of the fair play and school CARR values that have been shown.

Year 9 STARs spent a fabulous day planting and mulching at Broken River Run Reserve in Wigram helping out the community last week and our Year 7’s and all new students to Hornby High School have planted a tree in our own native garden here at school.

Our kāhui has helped with the local sewing bee held at the community center helping sew facemasks for the wider community. It is great to see the community spirit and the skill that some of our students didn’t even know that they had!

In and around class, business and enterprise kete is in full swing. CEO’s, finance, product, and marketing, managers appointed and the buzz of production is in the air. Market day is fast approaching and we are all excited about what the day will bring…. and of course how much profit is to be made!
