Restricted access during school hours

Chromebooks are a wonderful device for learning. They enable students to access a wealth of material and learn at their own pace. However they can also be an enormous source of distraction when students are diverted by sites which have no relevance to their learning during class time.

Recently Google have developed a setting which enables the school to restrict the chromebook user to being able to only access their Hornby High School account during school hours. This enables teachers to closely monitor what the students are looking at. We have recently trialled this setting. To help teachers keep students on task we would like to implement this setting on all school managed chromebooks from the start of Term 4.
