"JDrama classes with Mrs Clark have been exploring emotions, this helps build empathy with others and develop an understanding of an acting role.

Theatre is a group peforming art. It is important to develop manaakitanga, the core Māori value of kindness, generosity and care for others in order to work together and create live performance. Poet Maya Angelou said "Try to be a rainbow in someone else's cloud" . Students wrote positive affirmations about spreading kindness and helping others which we tied to a rainbow umbrella and have hung in the auditorium as a reminder of how we work together showing the school values."
