What a fabulous experience it was last Thursday, international day. Thank you to all who attended. Other exciting news is the new kahui are ready and the big move is on. My new office will be in Kahui Tieke and my teaching space in Kahui Riroriro. The new spaces are fantastic and it will be more important than ever for students to bring their device (chromebook or laptop) as they will have more opportunity to learn in different learning spaces.

Academic

The trial exams are over and now students know what they need to focus on in preparation for the externals that begin in November.

Those students who have achieved NCEA Level 2 still need to attend all classes as school is not over yet and there are still more opportunities for learning.

School is a full time commitment so encourage your young person to continue to learn and do their personal best. Our CARR values are not just for school but are life values.

Course selection for 2020

The courses that are available for 2020 are being put together and students will soon find out what subjects they will be taking for 2020. For those students intending to go to University, you need to ensure that you are taking subjects that are University approved. See Mrs Climo or me if you need advice.

Prefects 2020

Thank you to the 25 students who are keen to be prefects. The applications have now closed and interviews will be conducted in the first week of Term 4.

Congratulations to the Year 12 students who were part of the Year 13 musical evening. All the students were fabulous and so incredibly talented.

Any concerns, please contact me.

Thank you for your continued support with your young person’s education.

Ngā mihi
