Deputy Principal's Report

Jack Goodfellow —

Mid Year Reporting and Learning Conferences

In Week 1 of Term 3, whānau will receive a mid-year report for their young person. This report gives students a grade against each of our school values (how well is the young person showing Commitment, Achievement, Resilience and Respect in their learning) and for Year 7 - 10 students, there will also be reporting against curriculum achievement descriptors for each subject (how well is the young person achieving in their subject specific learning). Year 11 - 13 students will receive a summary of NCEA assessments completed to date in each subject.

There will be no written comments from teachers in this round of reporting, but parents are encouraged to email the subject teacher if there are any specific concerns or further questions arising from the report. Look out for the email notification during Week 1 of Term 3, indicating when reports are ready to view on the Parent Portal.

There will also be a Learning Conference afternoon/evening during Week 4 of Term 3 (Thursday 15 August), which is a valuable opportunity for you to discuss progress with your young person's teachers, so save that date in your diary! More details will follow about how to book appointments for Learning Conferences.
