Project K

Chris Morland —

As part of Project K our amazing Hornby High School students and marvelous mentors have been meeting up once a week slowly building their relationships playing fun games and talking about the goals they wish to achieve.

Some goals are within school, some are personal challenges that they would like to overcome. On top of all the challenges that they already face at least six of these resilient young people have signed up for the Graeme Dingle Fly For Youth challenge. They need to raise $400 each and then they will be able to fly a plane or helicopter! Thanks to our friends at South Canterbury Aero Club, GCH Aviation and Canterbury Aero Club. The money they raise goes directly back into the program to help more young people in the future.
A special thank you also to our volunteer mentors who will personally be helping our students reach their target. What a fantastic experience it will be for our amazing young people to be able to say they have flown a plane at 14 years old!  If you would like to volunteer to help us raise money and fly a plane yourself or donate to our students cause don't hesitate to get in touch with our Project K coordinator chris.morland@dinglefoundation.org.nz
