Our very own Nick Williams, Head of Department for Japanese recently assisted with the Nelson Fires.

As a part of the New Zealand Response Team from Christchurch, Nick travelled to  the Tasman region helping fight the Pigeon Valley fires. 

This lovely team of people also stopped into a local school when their work was done. Buller and Tutaki Classrooms at Murchison School were lucky enough to have this Christchurch crew come into their classrooms and speak to them about their role over the eight days they spent in the top of the South Island.
