Hornby High School sent a contingent of 21 athletes to this event and had a very successful day with five students gaining placings and numerous others making finals.

Students to gain placings in their final were:

• Driaan Meintjes 1st in Discus
  
•  Yarny Williams 1st in 60m
  
• Richie Tupuailei 1st in shot put  & 3rd in 200m
  
• Genica Chan 3rd in 60m
  
• Year 8 boys' relay team finished 3rd.
