The international department at Hornby High School continues to grow. This year we have had three students who have studied with us for the whole year. We also welcomed four Japanese students from Komagome Tokyo.

In Term one 18 UCE students and their teacher from Thailand were here for 5 weeks. The students studied ESOL and joined some of the regular classes and mixed with their kiwi student buddies. They also enjoyed visits to local attractions such as Willowbank and Antarctic centre.

In Term three we hosted 2 Year 12 Japanese students. They were buddied with 2 students studying Japanese which greatly helped their Japanese language.

Thank you to the students and staff who made their stay so enjoyable as well as the homestay families who shared their homes with the students.
