The Ministry of Education and NZQA have announced the following adjustments to NCEA in 2021, across the whole country.

• The external (end-of-year) exam period has been moved by two weeks. The exam period will now be Monday 22nd November until Tuesday 14th December
• Portfolio submissions will also be pushed back by two weeks (eg. Art, DVC)

These date changes give learners more time to prepare for their external assessments, which hopefully eases some of the pressure associated with not being at school.
These are the extent of the changes announced so far. If there are any further adjustments to NCEA, these will be announced in due course.
