Seniors – Arrive by 9.30am for the Leavers’ Assembly which starts at 9.40am. This assembly is for Years 9-13 only. Following this assembly all seniors will be dismissed to start study leave. There will be a brief meeting for students sitting NCEA exams to get their entrance slips and information. We expect all senior students to be dismissed from school by 11am. NCEA exams begin on Thursday 9th November.

Many senior students will be required to return to school in the following weeks to study for exams or to complete internal assessment. Many students will wish to do this anyway and are very welcome and should make arrangements with the teachers concerned. Deans will be in touch with families where we require students to return to school.

Project Based Learning

For the last four weeks of Term 4 all Yr 9 &10 students will be on a special programme of project based learning. This is where, with careful guidance, students in small groups are given the opportunity to explore an important issue which is of relevance to our local community. Students are required to plan some social action to address the needs they discover.

The Project Based Learning programme takes place alongside the normal classroom programme but will replace normal lessons for several periods each week. At the end of the programme there will be a presentation/ performance day when parents will invited

.

Junior Reports

When prepared at the end of term, reports for junior students will be published on KAMAR and available to parents through the parent portal. A letter will be sent explaining how to access and print your child’s report. Paper copies will be printed and posted on request.
