Tena Koutou. What a great group of Year 9s we have at Hornby High School this year. They are dedicated, co-operative and focused.

 The 5 classes range in numbers from 23-27 students. The cohort is made up of 119 awesome students all of whom work towards the school values of Commitment, Achievement, Resilience and Respect.

Day Out @ High Ropes course

We began the year with a Year 9 Day out at Kimihia High Ropes course at the Groynes. Students worked in groups of 10 - 12 doing a range of activities. High Ropes, Adventure Based Learning games and Orienteering were all taken by the qualified instructors of Horizon Adventure Specialists. This gave all the teachers an opportunity to be involved in some of the activities.

We have a number of highly skilled, compassionate teachers of the Year 9s all of whom are setting the way for an amazing year ahead.
