The Hornby High School Board of Trustees is delighted to announce that Mr Iain Murray has been appointed to the role of Tumuaki (Principal).

Iain is currently the Tumuaki  at Westland High School, Hokitika, a post he has held for four and a half years. Iain comes with a deep understanding of the Manaiakalani programme, Westland High School shares the kaupapa with Hornby High School.  He has had ten years experience in leadership having been Tumuaki at Cheviot Area School (North Canterbury), and Emmanuel Christian School (Christchurch). He also served one year in Thailand as Executive Principal. Iain is excited to be joining Hornby High School during 2023 and is looking forward to working alongside our staff, students, Board of Trustees, whānau and our wider community.
