This year we are entering four Hornby High School Sports Teams into the South Island Secondary Tournaments. Our Whelan Senior Girls Basketball team and our Thomson Senior Boys Basketball Team are both playing in Greymouth, in September. Our Senior A Netball Team are playing in Nelson in September and our Junior Netball team are playing in Christchurch in July. We also have students heading away to Nationals for Athletics held in Wellington.

Our Hornby High School teams/players are seeking your support with fundraising within the whānau and the community. All teams are selling “Heller’s Middle Eye Bacon” 400g Fresh. $8 each or 3 for $20. We are glad to announce that within Hornby High School, we have 17 teams entered in sports competitions. We have teams that play all over Christchurch. Transport is supplied for students, however if there is whānau who can help transport players please contact me. 

There is a small charge of $20.00 for your child to play in these teams. If you are not sure if your child has paid, please do not hesitate to contact me.
