Course Selections
As you may know already, course selections for 2019 are underway. I have contacted you all previously about this. Please look through the course selection book and have a talk with your child. I am meeting all Year 12 students next week to discuss their choices.

Prefect Applications
On Monday 3 September, applications for 2019 prefects open. Students will be sent a copy of the job description and application form. Please encourage your child to consider.

Next Steps Camp
This was a huge success, the Year 12 students who attended enjoyed themselves, as did the staff. 

Less Than 7 Weeks To Go
With senior assessment week completed, it is very important that our students start working towards completing their internal work and preparing for externals. There are a number of students who have indicated that they will not return, they are encouraged to start applying for their courses for 2019 now. A big thank you to Mrs Barnett and Mrs Climo who are working with our year 12 students who are applying for courses, looking at what their options are outside of Hornby High School.

It is great to see students already gaining their required credits for Level 2, for others there is a lot of work to do between now and term 4. I am urging all of our cohort not to leave things to the final minute. This will save them a lot of stress and pressure come the end of the year.
