Year 9 Social studies this term have been learning about World War One and in particular the Gallipoli Campaign as a part of the New Zealand Histories curriculum.

Gallipoli is a significant part of our history and is part of what shaped our nation's National Identity. All year 9 students were involved in viewing a virtual reality experience of Te Papa's 'Gallipoli: The scale of our war exhibition' as though they were walking through it themselves in Wellington. The giant figures were amazing to see and all of the knowledge that was passed on to our year 9 students was fantastic. We all learnt a lot from this tour and enjoyed the amazing experience.
