Girls in Hi Vis

Barbara Climo —

On Tuesday a group of seven Year 12 girls visited Fulton Hogan as part of the Girls in Hi Vis Day. It was a fantastic opportunity for the girls to see all of the different careers that a company like Fulton Hogan have on offer.

The girls got to meet and chat with female staff who are employed in a variety of different roles within the industry. The students were provided with a nice lunch and then it was off to the training ground.

Lots of fun was had at the training ground after the safety briefing. Some really enthusiastic staff showed the girls some of the machinery and demonstrated what was involved in their roles at Fulton Hogan. They got to have a go at using a digger, a loader and surveying equipment. Everyone had a ride in the 40 tonne dump truck.

A big thanks to Fulton Hogan and Connixs for giving our students this wonderful opportunity.
