Over the last few months, fourteen talented Hornby High School students went through a rigorous selection process to represent Canterbury Rugby League and Waitaha U17s Taiohi Pango Whutupaoro (Rugby). Teams played in the Southern Zone Rugby League tournament, with three players from Hornby High School being selected in the Development Southern Zone Rugby League Team.

We wish to remind all members of our school community that we are committed to being a smokefree school, which includes being a vapefree school.

Thank you to CERT for funding of $2,594.28 to purchase various equipment for the gym fitness training area.

We are excited to be selling Christmas hams again this year and with an extra bonus of a new ham bag for storage.

The next Drop for Youth fundraiser will be bungy style! We have partnered with Hanmer Springs Attractions to offer a bungy jump on Saturday 27th March 2021.

It may feel like a challenge to find 20 minutes each day to sit down and read with, beside, or to, your child. However, this small adjustment will make a large impact on their overall reading ability.

The App can be used to access the parent portal, check the daily notices, check attendance and is the quickest and easiest way to notify us of an absence.
