This whakatauki has been gifted to our school by Ngai Tahu. Its meaning 'Be prepared, have the right tools to achieve' aligns with our Hornby High School values.

As a Prefect team, we want to be able to make a positive impact on our school and build a community spirit that we can be proud of. We plan to run fun events and activities all year long, aiming to get as many students engaged as we can. We also wish to create a legacy that we can all be proud of by creating positive experiences for everyone in the school and the wider Hornby community.

An anonymous chat forum called Omegle has risen its head again in schools with the start of the New Year.
