Tēnā koutou katoa
Kō Samantha Iri tōku ingoa
I am born and raised in Hornby and had the pleasure of spending my childhood and adult life in this community. It is even greater watching my daughter have the same experiences.

This year I have taken the time to work towards a Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Canterbury. I also have a small amount of experience in the Education sector as a former employee for Tē Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu with the education team. I have participated in various Kapahaka competitions including Te Matatini and absolutey love being immersed in my culture alongside my whānau. We are a very active whānau and are heavily associated with the local netball club.

It is my passion to ensure that our tamariki, as our leaders of tomorrow, are given the tools to create the best possible future.

Mō tātou, ā, mō kā uri ā muri ake nei
For us and our children's after us

Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou
