This term Piwakawaka, Tui and Kākāriki have been learning how to write persuasive essays. The keys points of a persuasive essay

Do you believe our world should ban drug abuse? I certainly do. The world should end drug abuse including alcohol abuse so people won’t get drunk and sleep all day and lose their jobs. Another reason is that people get too drunk or use drugs then use their cars and hurt or kill people in accidents. People who have drugs can maybe die or become homeless.

I believe that the world should end drug abuse. I think that because illegal drugs can go into people’s bodies and cause them to die or get very sick. They can also cause people to vomit or have nausea. Governments should ban drugs because when people try them it will make them addicted and become a lifelong habit.

Imagine if someone you knew was hurt or killed in a car accident caused by drugs. Drugs are dangerous because if you drink and drive a car with a friend there's a chance of having a car crash. Drugs are bad because if you take one it will wiggle around your body causing you to be sick or die.

Drugs can be dangerous because a child can find meth which is very bad for them. It can be dangerous for people because it can affect your body and maybe cause you to vomit or have nausea and chest pain. It can also make you have cancer.

Not all drugs are bad, some are used to help people. I think the world should end bad drugs. I think that because people could die taking it. Drugs should be banned because it may cause you to vomit or have nausea or chest pain. Bad things can happen to your body. If you first try drugs you may get addicted to it and it will become a lifelong habit. That is why I think the world should end drug abuse.
