Today we have managed to get 92% of our tamariki at school with zero waste in their lunch boxes. This is fantastic. 😀

What have our winners of the Countdown vouchers had to say?

I asked the tamariki how they felt about winning the Countdown vouchers and some of the comments were:

"My parents were happy because we were saving money" (Renz)

"My mum said good job." (Kelis)

My mum was really surprised and said "Congrats!" (Laura)

"It was cool to win it and it was really easy" (Caitlin)

"It was cool, my family said cool and I used it to buy some drinks." (Saia)  "... and I took my Fush voucher and had fish and chips and my family had some chicken."

Not only are we looking after the environment by reducing the waste in our lunch boxes but tamariki and whānau are also taking time to pack tasty lunches. The winners of the Countdown vouchers from last Friday were all excited to take them home to their whānau and also excited to be able to contribute to saving money and buying groceries for the family.
