What a difference in the amount of daily lunch box rubbish we have noticed.

The zero waste healthy lunchbox community challenge has been a huge success. We are all kaitiaki of our environment and by sending your tamaiti to school with zero waste in their lunch boxes you have contributed to caring for our school environment. 

By working together we have been able to make school lunches a focus for our whānau and tamariki and this has meant lots more healthy, tasty lunches have been coming to school with your tamariki. 

One whānau have told us that they have saved $40 a week by buying in bulk and not using lots of prepackaged food for their children's lunches. This is transformational well done!

Little people have managed to finish their lunches because they are not wasting time opening those tricky packets, many more tamariki are now involved in making their own lunches, the increase in concentration and focus of tamariki after lunch has been noticeable due less processed food in lunchboxes. 

A huge thank you to all of you that have made this community challenge such a success.😀
