In Te Kākano team and especially in Pī Ngaro Room 5 we love Mahi Tākaro (Learning Through Play).

In Te Kākano team and especially in Pī Ngaro Room 5 we love Mahi Tākaro (Learning Through Play). Simple equipment such as a box of animals is a favourite with these boys. They have made a whole habitat and spent some time getting it right. They were using Auaha (creativity) and Manawaroa (Resilience).

Building with blocks lets children develop fine motor skills and gives a sense of success when it works.
