Our Values assembly: Embracing Whanangatanga through Taurima, Hei hei, Manuere, and Tinokore
One of the ways that our school community celebrates the spirit of whanaungatanga (belonging) is through our unique house groups: Taurima, Hei hei, Manuere, and Tinokore. These groups not only represent colours but also are named for local street names, showing a sense of togetherness and unity.
Through these house groups, we cultivate a sense of belonging and identity, fostering relationships and connections that go beyond the classroom. By working together in these groups, students learn the values of teamwork, collaboration, and support, promoting a positive and inclusive school culture.
Each house group brings its own unique strengths and qualities, contributing to the richness of our school community. Together, we celebrate diversity and unity, embracing the differences that make us stronger as a collective whole.
So, whether you belong to Taurima, Hei hei, Manuere, or Tinokore, remember that you are an essential part of our school whanau. Let's continue to build on the spirit of whanaungatanga, supporting and uplifting one another every step of the way.
