Join the Windwhistle Winter Sports Club to celebrate their 90th birthday!

The first Windwhistle Winter Sports Club Inc (W.W.S.C.) ball was held in 1934 at the Masonic Lodge in Coalgate and since then these gatherings have become infamous!! Held in woolsheds and community halls across the district, the W.W.S.C. balls were events not to be missed. In 1956 a crowd of 700 people attended the ball at Laindon woolshed!

They were held annually until the 1959 Dependance Ball became a little unruly and the committee abandoned them for a few years then in 1963, the balls returned with a well-behaved formal event!

It's been a long time since we have had a true W.W.S.C. ball, with the last one being in 2007 held at the Hororata Hall as we celebrated the Club's 75th birthday.

90 years is a wonderful achievement and this ball will be special and should not be missed!
