Great result for community groups at the Hororātā Glow Festival
The Hororātā Community Trust welcomed 18 community groups to be involved in the Glow Festival. These groups collectively raised $37,330.00 for their own causes. Well done to all involved.
To everyone who was part of the Hororātā Glow Festival, from volunteers, sponsors, funders, entertainers, stall holders, people who hosted our visiting crews, and of course, Ballooning Canterbury and all the balloon crews, thank you for all you do.
To be able to provide a platform for these community groups to fundraise from has a huge benefit to our rural area. This figure does not include any profits from the event itself. We don't have the final financial result yet for the event as it takes a while to finalised accounts for an event this size. Funds raised will go towards the new Hororātā Community Hub project.
We have an extraordinary community and can be so proud of everything we do together.
