Visitor FAQs

Answers to our most commonly asked questions...

What time do the gates open?

Gates open at 7.30am for competitors and 9am for the general public. There is heaps of action from 9am right up to 4.30pm.

Can we purchase tickets at the gate?

No, there will be no gate sales. But if there are still tickets available you will be able to buy these online on the day until 2pm, if not sold out prior.

Do you have Eftpos facilities at the event?

We have ATM facilities inside the venue. We recommend you bring cash as some stall holders do not have Eftpos.

 Can we bring our dogs?

No, sorry.

Can we bring food and drink in?

There are many food options at the Games at affordable prices. Most of the food outlets are run by Community Groups as fundraisers. You are welcome to bring food to the event. The venue has a licensed bar serving alcoholic beverages, no BYO alcohol, please.

Does the event continue if there is wet weather?

Yes! Being a true Scottish event the Games will be held wet or fine and there will still be plenty to do and see. The Highland Dance stage is covered but spectators will need to bring their own shelter. If very wet dancing will move to the Hororata Hall. Heavy events may be restricted if wet due to safety reasons.
