Calling for nominations for a Trustee position on the Hororata Community Trust

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a forward-thinking, community-minded, visionary to join the Trustees of the Hororata Community Trust. This position will commence in August 2022 when Dee Innes retires. Dee has been a valuable Trustee since 2016 and her vision and guidance will be missed.

The Hororata Community Trust (HCT) was formed and registered as a charitable trust in 2011 with the vision to provide the resources and facilities to benefit, foster and develop Hororata and its wider community. As a registered Charity the Trust is bound by its objectives outlined in it deed and is focused on uniting our community so together, we succeed.

In the eleven years since its inception, the HCT has evolved to become a leader in this rural community, which includes Hororata, Coalgate, Glentunnel, Whitecliffs, Glenroy, Windwhistle and Lake Coleridge. Among other roles, the HCT supports volunteer groups to achieve their objectives; by providing guidance, resource and funding.

The HCT is looking for someone well connected in the district with strategic experience and a dedication to making a difference.
