Kilts swirled, drums played, bagpipes sang, cabers were tossed and ropes tugged as 600 competitors competed all the traditional Scottish sports.

16 community groups took part in the Hororata Highland Games with their own fundraising or promotional activities, raising a combined $28,140.00

Hororata hosted 20 Pipe Bands in the first competition in 18 months. 56 solo pipers and drummers competed in the morning before the bands took centre stage.

Athletes from Australia and New Zealand competed in five different championships at the 11th Hororata Highland Games 2022.

The Fern Tug O' War competition was hotly contested at the Hororata Highland Games with over $3000 worth of prizes up for grabs.

13 teams took part in the Harraways Junior Warriors Competition at the 11th Hororata Highland Games. There was some pretty fierce, but friendly competition… well done to all involved!
