Rainbow Bridge
Created by Jorja and Kennedy McCarthy
Over the last couple of years Jorja (ex-student) and Kennedy McCarthy have been working on a project with Hamilton City Council. This idea was their own and with the help of the council it has become a reality.
Jorja and Kennedy's idea was to create a special place where you can go to remember a pet who has passed away or has gone missing and not returned home. They say pets are family too so this is why the Rainbow Bridge has been created.
While it is not actually a bridge they are using a fence at Minogue Dog Park to create a metaphoric Rainbow Bridge for Hamiltonians to remember their cat, dogs, bunnies or any special pet.
