Have a wonderful Christmas Hukanui!
Thank you for making 2025 so special Hukanui. Here's a few quick messages and things to remember in the lead up to New Year.
Well, the year has drawn to a close, classes have been packed up, assemblies celebrated and we are just about to shut down for Christmas. The final countdown is on!
A gentle reminder that school does close at 1pm tomorrow afternoon and we would appreciate that whaanau and caregivers are on time to collect your children. Tomorrow afternoon is important to us as it provides us with a small opportunity as a staff family to farewell some of our people. This includes Haley Keast, Aimee Wilson, Zach Bootten and Annalise Hayward, whom we hold dear.
Thank you to all the family members who joined us for the final assemblies this morning. These were delightful and we do need to acknowledge all those who took out the Reading, Writing and Mathematics Awards. This is a great accomplishment and standing out at year's end is never easy.
Please be reminded that students will start 2026 on Monday the 2nd of February. The Office will be open on Friday the 30th should you have any questions. Note our onsite uniform sale will be held on THURSDAY the 29th of January in the Senior hub (not Tuesday). We have also included some Term 1 dates below for your reference.
On behalf of our Hukanui Staff, Board, PTA and whaanau group, I would like to wish you all a safe, fun and beautiful Christmas with loved ones. You totally deserve it and thank you for all you have given, contributed or helped make happen. Take care of each other, be kind and remember that doing small random acts of kindness, is critical at this time.
We very much look forward to seeing you again in 2026. Hari Kirihimete, Merry Christmas Hukanui, 圣诞快乐, 메리 크리스마스, krisamas kī badhāī!, メリークリスマス, عيد ميلاد مجيد.
