Farm Talk
After a discussion with staff and listening in on our classes and in the playground, I took the opportunity to talk to our school in assembly on Friday about Farm Talk.
As a rural school we are all aware of the 'types' of describing words, superlatives and adjectives that can slip out when adults are working on the farm or in other social settings.
But as parents we need to ensure we are educating our children about the correct and incorrect places where these extravagant uses of the English language are being repeated, or even taking some time to think about the phrases we do use while children are around.
At school we talked about appropriate and inappropriate language and ensuring we are being responsible and respectful Hunterville Heroes and we would love your support to continue this discussion at home.
