Maddy in Candy Land by Mandy 

In a land, far, far away there was a girl named Maddy. She lived with her mother in a rundown cottage because they were really poor. One day they had no food so Maddy's mother said, “go sell the cow Brownie.” So Maddy did. As Maddy was walking on the path she met a magician. He said, “if you give me that cow I will give you these magic beans. They will make you live happily ever after.” Maddy wanted to live happily ever after so she took the beans. When Maddy got home she told her mother all about the magic beans. Her mother thought that Maddy would have been smart enough not to be tricked by the man. Maddy’s mother threw the beans out the window and they both went to bed hungry. Overnight the beans grew up in the sky. In the morning Maddy saw a green tall plant that reached all the way up into the clouds. Maddy changed out of her pyjamas as fast as a cheetah. She ran outside and climbed up the beanstalk. When she got to the top she saw a land full of candy and she named it Candy land. Maddy saw a castle and went in. Inside there was a giant and a duck that laid golden eggs. Maddy stole the duck and then the giant woke up. He said, “fe, fi, fo, fum, that's my duck you’d better run. Fe, fi, fo, fum, I will eat you for breakfast. Here I come.” Maddy ran as fast as a tiger. When she got to the beanstalk she started to climb down. Near the bottom she screamed, “get me the axe.” Her mother ran outside and gave Maddy the axe. As Maddy was chopping the giant climbed back up and was never seen again. As for Maddy and her mother they lived happily ever after.

Jackie and the Giant by Ana 

Once upon a time there lived a girl call Jackie she lived in a cottage with her mother. One day her mother said, “Jackie can you sell Brianna the unicorn at the market?” So Jackie went to the market and she saw a man. The man said, “thats a nice unicorn. I will trade you for this magic rose plant.” So Jackie traded the unicorn for the rose plant. Jackie ran home and she showed her mum and her mum said… “WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?” Her mum threw the rose plant outside. That night her mum and Jackie went bed hungry. By the morning the rose plant has grown to the clouds. When Jackie woke up she saw a green light outside so she checked it out and she decided to climb the rose plant. So she got ready and swang her bag a cross her waist and climbed the rose plant. At the top she saw an big school. She went inside the school and saw an ugly giant snoring in a chair. Sitting beside the chair she saw a silver frog. The silver frog jumped up and down and then she laid a silver egg. Jackie's eyes opened wide and she wanted that frog. So jackie put the frog in her bag and the frog said, “ribbit ribbit.” Suddenly the giant woke up and said. “FE, FI, FO, FUM. I HEAR MY FROG, HERE I COME.” Jackie raced to the rose plant. She began to climb down as fast as she could. As she climbed she yelled, “get the axe.” Her mum got the axe and started to chop the rose plant down. The giant saw what was happening and decided to climb back up the rose plant. Mum and Jackie lived happily ever after. As for the giant he was never seen again.
