In response to younger members of the community asking for beginner skate features to be included at Bishopdale Park, the Council will be extending the skate area. The proposed design will incorporate new plazza/street style features with the existing back to back half pipe and spine ramps. This will open the park up to all skill types by incorporating features that will appeal to beginner, intermediate and experienced skaters and riders. Council will be going out for consultation on the design early next year and this will be your opportunity to let them know what you think. They’d love to know what features are important to you, what you think works and if you have any suggestions. Keep an eye on the Councils ‘Have your say’ page for this upcoming project.
