We're Back... Thanks for Memories, Pudding Hill Camp!

Fiona Smallridge —

Team Wairere had a rewarding, challenging and fun three days last week, when we swapped city life for our camp experience.

We were a large group.  Ninety seven students and accompanying teachers and parents clambered on the buses last Monday and set off for our destination, Pudding Hill.

It was a very busy camp, revolving around nine activities which we rotated around, as well as some orienteering on arrival and a jet boat trip for half of our group on the Tuesday.  The students enjoyed outdoor cooking, two sets of team building, air rifles and archery, stream study, nature walk, pioneering, rogaining, (navigation using compasses) and tents challenge.

A huge thank you to our wonderful, hard-working camp parents, who helped to run activities, serve meals, supervise and clean.  We couldn't have done it without them.

We hope your tired children arrived home full of joyful tales of camp.  Enjoy this selection of photos of our experiences.  They might prompt a few more stories!
