Isleworth School kapa haka group, as well as a few other kura, have been invited to perform at Carols at the Pā (A smaller Māori Christmas in the park) held at Rehua Marae, Springfield Road on Friday 4th of December. The event begins at 5:30 pm, however, the tutors will be at Wairakei Primary on Wairakei Road at 4:30 pm for a quick practise. You are most welcome to meet the tutors there and organise to carpool with other whānau if you wish. Otherwise, it is totally fine to meet them at Rehua at 5:30 pm. Please bring all the whānau. There will be a few kura performing, as well as many Senior Kapa Haka from all over Christchurch. There will also be heaps of kai stalls - hāngi, fry bread, sausage sizzle, etc. Māori stalls - tāonga Māori, pounamu, christmas presents, aha noa. Nau mai te whānau!

As there may be no Isleworth teachers attending, students will remain the responsibility of their whānau. Students will perform in their kapa haka uniform.
