Celebrating Writing

Kara Mason —

Recently we had Whaea Bonnie teaching in Room 9. She worked with the students on writing, specifically learning about 'personification'. Here is some that stood out, created from the picture above.

The fluffy snow covered the mountains like a warm blanket. The trees watched on in jealousy, wishing that they too, would have a blanket to hide under. The fish danced gracefully under the safe protection of the frozen lake. The sun rose higher, and the snow began to melt, falling down the landscape like tears. The mountains however, yearned for a few more moments, but the snow insisted to say goodbye, causing the mountains to cry heavier. The leaves on the trees began to laugh and laugh, as they fell to the ground, they did not fail, they made a path, one of possibility. And yet, through all of this, the fish never stopped dancing, the swirling seaweed acting as an audience, following every move.
