Art and Cultural Exhibition
What a wonderful day we had on Monday - a celebration of our students art work. We thoroughly enjoyed welcoming you to school.
Thank you for the amazing turn-out. As I said, there was such a wonderful buzz about the place as everyone moved around the school admiring what the students had created.
We are absolutely blown away with the generosity shown by those that made donations for artwork - in total we received $932.90.
Thank you to our performance groups Mātai Mauri Tū and Whaea Delanie and also our Samoan Whānau who supported our students with a special peformance for the kura...you were all amazing.
We also congratulate Tracy and Michelle and the students who created our mural project 'Conserving our Mana'. I'm sure you will all agree that the mural looks stunning. What an honour to have Rangitīkei District Mayor, Andy Watson, unveil the mural.
Thank you to Matua Te Arawa who again supported our kura and was responsible for blessing our mural. We enjoyed seeing you back in the kura Matua.
Artwork will come home this week. If you would prefer to pick it up yourself please come down, otherwise it will come home with your child.
Finally thanks to Rochelle and our 'Friends of JCS' who provided some lovely food and service out of the cafe.
