Physical Activity Leaders
On Thursday our PALs had the opportunity to attend a full day leadership workshop with Sport Whānganui.
Our PALs have the responsibility of supporting their peers and younger students in the school to get them involved with physical activity.
PALs are taught practical skills and games to adapt sports to suit all abilities.
Being a PAL gives students a sense of pride and satisfaction, and a chance to develop a role model status.
One of the great things about PALs is that it gives tamariki some ownership of sport and activity, rather than relying on teachers to provide opportuntities.
Our PALs for 2023 are; Panepasa Faletaogo, Ryan Faletaogo, Te Tare Tupaea, Tylah Tau, Charlie Penn, Flynn Stembridge, Cody Anderson, Kylah Stowers, Mercedees Lowrie and Kahleisha Lowrie.
Thank you to Miss Morris who is working with the PALs to support them in their work and to further enhance the learning taken from this day.
