We say goodbye to one of our teachers.

At the end of the Term Ms Peffers, teacher of Room 7 will be leaving James Cook School.  She is moving to Australia to take up a new teaching position and to be closer to her sons, who both live there.

Whaea Kirsty joined our team part way through last year to teach in our Junior Team, He Kakano and this year made the move to Year 4 and 5.

We thank Whaea Kirsty for the contribution that she has made to our kura and to the learning and achievement of the students in both Room 5 and Room 7.  We wish you well for the future.

We are also able to announce that we have appointed a new teacher for Room 7 who will start at the beginning of Term 2.  Her name is Tessa McPherson.  We will introduce and welcome Tessa to the school community in Term 2 and tell you more about her once she has arrived.
