Kara Mason —

Last week students from our Kapa Haka Roopu, Mātai Mauri Tu visited Edale.

The students performed a full set of waiata and haka for the residents of Edale.  Judging by the foot-tapping and responses during the performance we know the residents enjoyed their morning.  This is a visit that Whaea Delanie would like to continue on a regular basis.

We were very proud of the students, they sang beautifully and represented our kura with excellence.

Unfortunately we can't show you much more in the way of photos or video to protect the residents.  But pictured above is Whaea Delanie and students.

A heads up for Term 3 - James Cook will be hosting the South Rangitikei Cultural and Kapa Haka Festival.  This will be held on Friday 21 July to coincide with the celebrating of Matariki.  Put it on your calendar whānau!
